Sierra Aero and Mountain Lion Aviation Joining Forces

In the last few years, Sierra Aero and Mountain Lion Aviation have worked closely together. We have come to recognize that, as one, we could be stronger and offer our customers a more seamless solution to all their aviation needs.

As a certified Cirrus Training Center and Part 135 Charter Operator, Mountain Lion Aviation provides specialized training in Cirrus aircraft along with alternate mobility needs. Mountain Lion’s Truckee Tahoe Airport fleet consists of Cirrus SR-22T’s and a Pilatus PC-12NG.

Sierra Aero will still be Sierra Aero, and we will offer you the same maintenance services as usual. Chris Barbera, the current CEO of Mountain Lion Aviation, will take on the role as CEO of the combined entities. Chris brings a world of aviation knowledge with him, as a very experienced pilot and CFI. Jessica Fay is named our new COO, and Sharie Lewis will take care of maintenance scheduling and customer service as our new Director of Daily Operations. Max Ilizarov, one of our long time employed A&P/IA’s, is stepping up as our shop manager.

Jessica and Jeff Fay are going to spearhead a new Mountain Lion charter operation in Texas. They will both divide their time between the two locations to ensure continuation of the same great service you have grown to know.
