TRUCKEE, Calif. (April 7, 2020) – Mountain Lion Aviation today announced that it is teaming up with the Truckee Tahoe Airport to provide free flights for medical personnel and equipment needed in the fight against COVID-19. The private charter company based in Truckee, California will donate the flight time to transport medical supplies, doctors, nurses, medical professionals and other critical responders across California and the region who are heroically putting their lives on the line every day across California and other states to keep people safe. The Truckee Tahoe Airport is donating the fuel needed for the operations into and out of the Truckee Tahoe airport district.
The first mission scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, April 8th) is the delivery of 150 gallons of hand sanitizer from Truckee-based, Old Trestle Distillery to the San Francisco Police Department and the San Francisco Police Officer Association. The distillery converted its production facility last month to address the immediate need for sanitizer and has been supplying the local Tahoe community, as well as regional and state organizations/first responders. Mountain Lion Aviation would like to give a special thanks to Colchis Capital, Signature Flight Support SFO and the San Francisco Airport authority for being a part of this important mission.
